The other day I was doing some Internet search when I found Art Venti, an artist born in 1949 in New York City. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. I am blown away by his drawings done with colored pencils. Here is what the artist says about them: ” I like to experiment with shadow, light and depth in an environment that starts with a forest of tissues in a light box. The view in this box of translucent paper suggests landscape scenes that seem to move and change as the sun crosses the sky.”

I think that what Venti does with colored pencils is truly remarkable. Some of his drawings are available from these places: The White Dog Gallery, Hale Arts, and  the artist’s shop. And here you can find lots of original art by other artists
