Dear friends,

Today I want to share a beautiful project that Victoria Antolini is trying to bring to life through a Kickstarter campaign, in collaboration with a wonderful team of creatives. Victoria is a super talented Italian artist and her project is called The Real Boat.

The Real Boat is an inspiring story written by Marina Aromshtam, perfect to read to your children in a cozy rainy day. The story is about courage, tenacity, and the wonders of the sea. It all starts with a tiny paper boat that is not satisfied with life in a puddle, and dreams of going far away to the wide and deep ocean. Many of us have been that little paper boat at the beginning of our journeys. 🙂

The idea is to bring the story of The Real Boat to life in a digital format, (phone, tablets, and computers) so we can experience it with motion and sound. You will also be able to interact with it. I’m excited about the visual part of this project. Victoria is the perfect artist for it because she has been fascinated with the ocean ever since she was a little girl.

This project is a team work. Studio Poink will do the animation, and Cucumber Ink will take care of the technical support, sound production, and art direction.

I invite you to support this special project by visiting its Kickstarter page. Over there you will find all the details including exciting information about the rewards.  The minimum donation is $5 Canadian dollars, which is about $4 USD. Then for $16 (about $13 USD) you will receive a PDF file to build the Captain doll that you see below. But there are more exciting prizes such as t-shirts and other goodies.
