“Behind every beautiful thing, there’s some kind of pain.”Bob Dylan

Frida was a genius at turning suffering and pain into beauty.  That’s the main reason why she is such an inspiration to me. I tried to capture that with this paper doll. Her skirt is a “mobile” universe that carries the beautiful and the ugly things that shaped her 46 years of life.

I enjoyed painting this new Frida so much! She is available as a paper doll here and as a print here.  After finishing this other project, I still wanted to create something else based on Frida Kahlo. That’s how the idea of this paper doll was born. I hope that you enjoy it!

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!
