Dear friend,
In December of this year, I will be part of a show with different artists that work with paper. The show is being curated by Jay Reto and it will take place at Couturier Gallery here in Los Angeles, CA. These are some pieces that I am creating for that show. They are all part of a larger work that goes framed in a shadow box. I just wanted to give you a little advance of what I am doing in the paper department.
More pictures will be coming soon!
PS. To have an idea of the size, the largest piece in the photo below is about 13 inches tall.
OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy! 🙂

WOW! These look so gorgeous… They remind me a little of your porcelain, but they look so delicate, living, aquatic…
Thanks, Maiz! I also want to go back to my porcelains. I miss clay so much!

Elsa, so abstract yet so convincingly alive, like just-discovered life forms. They are beautiful.
Thanks, Amy! 🙂

This would be a reason to go to LA! I love these paper alives you have created. I’m sure it will be a challenge to keep them tied to their display places. Do you have a plan for keeping them from slithering away?
