Michela Sorrentino is a wonderful artist based in Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. She works mostly in oil, cold wax and mixed media. Sorrentino’s background both in graphic and textile design have greatly influenced her work. Repeating patterns, typography and mark making draws the viewer in as well as giving depth and patina to her paintings. Sorrentino’s love of and experience of colour and the use of interesting combinations of colour are visible throughout her work.
