Bill, the children, and I, are only a few days away from the beginning our road trip from California to New York. The house is empty now, so I took this opportunity to photograph our beloved fireplace before saying good-bye to it forever. Maybe one day we will have a similar one. This fireplace was originally built in 1925.
Below is the special bookcase that we’re leaving for the new owners. This beautiful bookcase was custom-build by a carpenter friend of ours to suit the American Craftman style of the house.
This weekend we are up in the mountains relaxing for a few days and taking care of different things. Our official road trip starts on Wednesday, August 20. We still don’t know what the Internet situation will be during the trip. But I will use every opportunity to share our adventures on the road with you.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Elsita 🙂
