Daniela Schlagenhauf (born Switzerland 1957), has worked with ceramics since the 1980s; mainly in France, where she is now based. A well-established artist, Daniela has completed a number of international residencies. Her early work is inspired by ancient alphabets, but more recently she has begun working with paper clay to create more sculptural pieces, such as the ones featured here, which make you think of pleated fabric.
