Fables de la Fontaine. Book in Progress (post 29)
*
Here we have all my sweet friends from the book gathered together
The Hare and the tortoise look different from what you saw before because I did some changes in that illustration. I will talk about that tomorrow because it’s something very interesting that I would like to share.
I love my new animal friends so much! They’re very real in my head, like people that I have known for a long time. The process of preparation and anticipation of these little buddies reminds me of when I had Natalie and Diego. I don’t feel like I designed these characters, it’s more like I gave birth to them.
Entering the children’s world as an illustrator has been such a pleasure and fun adventure to me. Those little animals taught me so much! Now let’s continue the fun with a little survey. I would love to know which one is your favorite animal from the list of 16:
To vote please see the box on the bottom of this post. After you pick the animal just click on the blue arrow that says submit. I will share the results on Friday
Update: The survey reached the 100 votes which is the limit that Zoomerang.com let’s you have under a free account. I will announce the results on Friday! You will be surprised to know which animal is the most popular!
I’m having a hard time choosing a single one because I love them all equally. But I feel something very special about the little ant. She’s so quiet and modest. Just look her sweet eyes. She’s making a huge effort carrying a giant weight on her back but she does it with such grace, she makes it look as if it is not that hard. I found myself the other day carefully watching a tiny ant on my desk, it was fascinating. Seeing such a little thing, alive, moving around. Nature is wonderful.
Have a great day and see you tomorrow!
Elsita
Read Post #30 Start from the beginning

Elsita, it’s extremely hard to choose one favourite! However since we most I just did
I love them all, but narrowing it down to 12, 9, 5, 3…not sure which one to choose, but I will make my vote, somehow!
For me it was between the stork and the ant, but far too hard to choose!!! Each one had a little personality
My fave is the Tortoise..sooo sweet! I know just what you mean about giving birth to the characters Elsita! That’s how I felt when I did the illustrations for my children’s book! I’ve still got the amazing Lula doll you made me sitting on my desk! xxx
all are incredible but I have to vote for the violinist! Music!
Hoi Elsa,
I can’t keep up with you. But I understand when jou’re inspired work flows out of you
And so nice you make a game of it
I voted for the mouse with the blue trousers because I like them so much but it was a very hard choice I have to admit.
i really really love them all
but i did vote for the first the first one that popped into my head when looking at them all over again.
This was a really difficult choice.
I am dazzled by each and every one of them!
The Stork, she is unaware of just how funky she is in those boots, doesn’t realise her appeal.
K
the tortoise, she is so cute, and she never gives up!
They are all so dear, who can choose?
Yesterday I had a quiet moment to enjoy with my husband, and I took the opportunity to introduce him to your work. He was curious, after reading a recent post I made on my blog… it is about art and the artists inspiring me… like YOU!
They’re all so adorable and full of expression! Like everybody else I find it hard to choose. The ant? The foxes? The storch?
Stina
I really love two of them, the wolf (so expressive!!!) and the stork
For me it was between the stork and the ant, but far too hard to choose!!!
Wow they are all so wonderful, it is hard to choose.
I’d say either the ant with the strawberry, the frog
or the stork. I could go on but then I’d have to say
all of them and I am suppose to only choose one, yet
I picked three. In the order I like them.
So looking forward to your book!
God Bless Your Book and Your Family Too!!!

We have only begun to see what is possible using aggregate data from Facebook as most remains behind lock and key in the vault. Facebook will enhance the value they can deliver to brand marketers by unlocking data and using it to target and actually be predictive.

Amazing story! At this time, as I struggle to instill these very morals in my own two children, I am painfully aware of the power this story holds. My heart aches for that family, yet at the same time, swells with pride at the contribution such a simple gesture of goodwill can bestow upon so many other lives.
Amazing book shared by you here. I like to read your post. It’s very informative and useful to me. I never found such a great and amazing content.
