Hannah’s Art Club is Sharing a New Project!

I’m excited to announce that Hannah ( from Hannah’s Art Club ), recently shared a new art project. She’s the mind behind the Half Self-Portraits Project. This time Hannah took  Hokusai‘s art as the starting point.

The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai ↓

Below you see 3 examples of what her young students came up with. It is amazing that they are only from 4 to 6 years old! You will love reading about the project and  seeing all the artworks HERE.

  1. Thank you for your always wonderful posts, Elsita. I enjoy them so much.
Today’s is truly magical. I always seem to be drawn to children’s art, but today, especially, I am taken by the emotion and the focus on the drama catalyzed by this great work of art. And to think I never really noticed Mount Fuji in the background before! Thank you for the wonderful things you share on your blog!

  2. Thank you for your enthusiasm and for sharing another of my art projects. The children really are amazing artists with incredible imaginations. Many of them have now completed their last projects with me as they will be off to school after the summer holidays. I will miss their talents and originality which, in turn, inspire my own creativity! I am glad that their work is reaching a wider audience thanks to your blog.

    • You’re so welcome, Hannah! Children have such a unique and fresh way to do things and to see the world around them. I understand when you say that they inspire your own creativity. Now you need to create a blog to share your own art :)
      Happy Monday!

  3. Sadly, I am no artist myself, although I loved creating art as a child and as a teenager. These days my own creativity finds its expression through the projects I devise for the children, and their wonderful, unique creations. That is enough for me!

    • Hi Hannah! You are definitely an artist. Here are some words by Seth Godin, I couldn’t agree more:

“Art isn’t only a painting. Art is anything that’s creative, passionate, and personal. And great art resonates with the viewer, not only with the creator.”

“Art is a personal gift that changes the recipient. The medium doesn’t matter. The intent does.”

“Art is a personal act of courage, something one human does that creates change in another.”

  4. I love it. Yeah, I started to subscribe to her blog and saw the shadow monsters. What fun to have her as a teacher! And I love what the kids are doing!
