Dioramas by Thomas Doyle.

Dioramas by Thomas Doyle.

I am fascinated by Thomas Doyle‘s dioramas. Here is what he says:

“My work mines the debris of memory through the creation of intricate worlds sculpted in 1:43 scale and smaller.”

“…The works depict the remnants of things past—whether major, transformational experiences, or the quieter moments that resonate loudly throughout a life. In much the way the mind recalls events through the fog of time, the works distort reality through a warped and dreamlike lens.”

  1. I was going to put: fascinating, and then realized that’s what you said, too.

Oh well. It’s fascinating. Usually when I consider tiny, intricate worlds, it is with a sense of safety and calm. How odd he would think to tamper with that.
