Here’s my latest paper sculpture. The color red is a symbol of blood/life while the color white symbolizes innocence. This woman is experiencing the painful but rewarding process of personal growth. She’s  learning that behind life’s difficulties there are always lessons to learn.

  3. I saw this on flickr first and I think it is my favorite of your paper sculptures thus far. It is so vivid in the contrast red and white, life and innocence. I flashed back to what you have written previously about the stories of your grandmother, your mother , yourself and Natalie and I can see all of you resonating in this piece. It is a wonderful tribute to International Women’s Day today. Give your mom a big hug from me.
