I am Illustrating a Book.

I am Illustrating a Book.

Here is a little advance of something special that I’m working on. It is a book written by Jill Kearney, who is a writer, an artist, a philanthropist, a mother of 3 amazing girls, and someone who I admire very much.

The book is a series of essays that will make you smile, cry, and ultimately think about the complex thing that being a woman is. The image below is about hair, which is the title of one of the essays.

Hair 700

This piece  is about 8.5″ x 11″, done with acrylic paint on paper.

I hope that you enjoyed the sneak peek 🙂

  1. Thank you so much for the sneak peek! What a beautiful illustration. I look forward to learning more about this new endeavor. Best wishes to you!

  2. it’s about that blue. . .

lovely! I often am reminded of egg tempera, with your painted illustrations.
It’s a luminescent quality of both rapidity, the quick gesture, without fear–and patience. The building up over time. fitting, eh?

  3. Oh Elsa, when you’re good, you’re very, very good! Brava!

  4. Beautiful!
