↑ Wishes on the Air, (by Cecilia Paredes), a site-specific cloud constructed out of wishes from members of the Frenchtown community in NJ. Over a period of three months prior to the opening of the exhibition, visitors deposited their anonymous desires in a massive bowl. The piece is not simply an object, but an invitation to embark on a journey from voyeuristic curiosity to a recognition of shared human impulses and the possibility that we are not alone.

I launched this blog in 2013 to explore, celebrate, and get inspired by the endless ways in which creativity takes shape through art.

Your art reminds me that a person’s own vision is a gift… to be followed and trusted and loved! I am sorry that I missed your Portland workshop.

Elsa, I am a textile artist and to inspire me for the New Year I recently dug out my past issues of American Craft magazine and was happy to “rediscover” your work in the Oct/Nov 2013 issue. Your website is amazingly beautiful and a joy to peruse. I read on your blog how you recently explored areas near where I live [the Berkshires] for your future “art center”. Hudson and Woodstock are beautiful but you may want to eventually also check out our culturally rich and diverse area in western MA as a possible location :).
